There are seven sites in the Panhandle with high school volleyball on the courts today.
Bridgeport’s season has taken off with one of the best starts in the region, 6-1 and the Bulldogs are part of the Sidney Triangular with the Lady Raiders and Chadron.
Bridgeport just won three in a row – all by sweep – in tournament play over the weekend at the Sheridan County invite. Chadron will play just its fourth match of the season, they’re 1-2. Sidney is 3-3 and has won by sweep or lost by sweep each match of the year.
Hemingford will try and get realigned with the win column on its home court with Gordon/Rushville and Kimball coming over for a triangular. The Bobcats have dropped three of four including a match to Gordon-Rushville Saturday 2-1. Kimball is turning its season around after a 2-5 start grabbing a trio of wins in Sheridan County last weekend.
Also Tuesday night: Gering is hosting Scottsbluff, Mitchell and Bayard play, Potter-Dix faces Burns, WY, Paxton takes on Leyton and Sioux County will play Minatare.
Chadron will try and extend a five-game winning streak from last weekend’s tournament at Scottsbluff into tonight’s road match-up at Alliance. The Cards are 8-6 and beat Alliance in the tournament after losing the first three in the fall series.
