A fire in a Chadron apartment building early Wednesday morning has left it a total loss, Chadron Fire Department said.
The call came at around midnight on reports of a fire at the Maple Ridge Apartments at 841 Maple St, with reports saying that the structure of the fire was fully engulfed.
CFD tells Panhandle Post that there were two occupants living in the building, and they were both not in the building. Crews were still working on the fire as of Wednesday morning, and officials say the building is a total loss.
The fire is currently under investigation. The Chadron Fire Department was assisted by Crawford Fire Department, and Chadron Police.
