WellPower Movement Shifts Focus to Mental Wellbeing

LINCOLN, Neb. (April 29, 2024) – As Mental Health Awareness month approaches, the WellPower Movement encourages Nebraskans to focus on their mental health with the May Mental Wellbeing Challenge, which runs May 1-31.

Participants in the May Mental Wellbeing Challenge are rewarded with virtual badges and gift cards for engaging in various activities promoting mental health, including meditation, volunteering, reading, gratitude journaling, ensuring quality sleep, and group exercises.

The WellPower Movement, which has over 9,200 participants, is a free web-based activity-tracking platform that encourages individuals to adopt healthy habits through year-round wellbeing challenges. These challenges focus on both physical and mental health, rewarding participants with virtual badges and prizes for achieving and tracking significant milestones.

BlueCross and BlueShield of Nebraska is the presenting partner of the May Mental Wellbeing Challenge.
