Donna D. (Hoerler) Hansen passed away at Regional West Medical Center on Monday, April 8, 2024. She was born in Bridgeport, NE on July 14, 1939 to Emil Hoerler Jr. and Dorothy (Thomas) Hoerler. She attended Rural Morrill County Schools. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1957. She married her high school sweetheart, George Hansen after graduation. To this union 4 children were brought in fondly. Greg (Carlene) Hansen, Denise Matson, Diane Hansen, Dana (Tonia) Hansen. She had 7 grandchildren: Melissa Clement, April Conn, Justin Hansen, Jacob Hansen, Bonnie Holbrook, Tim Matson and Betsy Hansen. She also had 7 great grand children and 4 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Tom Hoerler and Ron Hoerler and sister Loretta Adam and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband George, infant daughter Diana, parents and parent in laws along with numerous brother in laws and sister in laws.
Donna’s early married life was spent at the family ranch near Lisco, NE and later moving to Bridgeport. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She worked at Bridgeport Public School and State Farm Insurance.
All of her kids and grandkids loved her for her homemade cookies and cakes for their birthday. She will be missed greatly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:30 pm at the Oregon Trail Memorial Park Cemetery in Bridgeport with Rev Richard Neugenbauer officiating. Casual clothing is welcome.
