The Hemingford Community Foundation is excited to issue grants to support the Box Butte Archery Club, Community Vacation Bible School, Hemingford Post Prom, and Valor General Store. Each will receive $500 to support their identified projects.
- Box Butte Archery Club – Purchase 3D targets and continue to support the youth archery program that began this year in Hemingford. Nearly 30 youth participate in this program.
- Community Vacation Bible School – Purchase supplies for crafts, snacks, and story time as well as supplementing the curriculum that is purchased every year. There have been close to 100 children that attend this week-long program.
- Hemingford Post Prom – Offset costs for entertainment at the 2025 Hemingford Post Prom, a safe night of fun for students in grades 9-12.
- Valor General Store – Support renovation costs for the youth archery club.
“The mini-grant applications certainly show how committed we all are to the youth of Hemingford,” said April Delsing, Foundation Board Member. “We are thrilled to support these projects for the betterment of a variety of Hemingford organizations, projects, and associations. We’ve got some big plans in the works to support a larger scale project and can’t wait to share that with the community.”
The board is comprised of Jessica Davies, April Delsing, Joni Jespersen, Tonya Mayer, and Tabi Prochazka. They have been meeting regularly to serve the residents of Hemingford and the surrounding area by identifying and supporting the people, organizations, and projects that make Hemingford a great place to live, learn, work, and play.
