James will be succeeded by Ashley Belmer, who currently serves as an Alliance High School physical education instructor. Belmer has been an assistant softball and freshman basketball coach in Wayne, NE.

Kathy Underwood has been hired as the girls and boys tennis coach. Underwood, who teaches art at Alliance High, played tennis for four years while attending Alliance High School, and she competed at the state tennis tournament three times.

Dr. Scott Ruff has been been hired as the new head wrestling coach. Ruff, who is a chiropractor, was a Wyoming High School state champion wrestler in 1985, also won a national championship in 1991 while attending college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he compiled a record of 145 wins and 16 losses.
