The Box Butte County Fair will host its first annual Spring Fling this Saturday, May 3.
The day will serve as not only a huge social event, but as a fundraiser for both the Box Butte County Fair and 4-H program.
Events begin at 8 am with a Tough Run. Fair Manager Jenilee Woltman says “it is only for the tough (or maybe a little crazy). Participants must be able to ‘survive’ several muddy obstables.” There will be several different age divisions. You can still register online at www.bbcfair.com.

From 8 am to 7 pm the annual Hemingford Community Wide Garage/Yards Sales will take place. During the garage/yard sales the Hemingford American Legion will be serving meals.
From 10 am to 6 pm, local vendors will have items for sale in fairgrounds multipurpose hall.
At 7 pm, a live auction to benefit the fair and 4-H program will be held.
From 8 pm to midnight a beer garden and dance will be held in the new livestock barn. Music will be provided by Grassfire.
Also during the Spring Fling, tickets to the fair’s grandstand shows that will take place August 3-10, will be on sale.
