ALLIANCE LANDFILL AMNESTY MAY 6-10

Alliance, Hemingford, and Box Butte County are invited to take advantage of Keep America Beautiful’s Great
American Clean Up this year during the month of May.

The City of Alliance promoted the Great American Cleanup by waving the residential landfill fees May 6-10.

The following are NOT included in the landfill amnesty: tires, construction and demotion materials and hazardous materials.

All residents that are electrical customers of the City are encouraged to take unwanted items to the landfill during this time. Bring your electrical billing with you to be admitted.

Residents may call Keep Alliance Beautiful at 762-1729 to schedule a pick-up of unwanted items by the City of Alliance during this time. However, items will need to be placed at the curbside, either in front or beside the resident’s home for pickup and the person requesting the pickup will need to be present during the pickup. Please make your reservations immediately for this service.

The Village of Hemingford will have a large roll-off dumpster provided free by SWANN during the week of May 12-16.

The dumpster will be placed behind the police station at 618 Box Butte. All residents may place their large
items in the dumpster at no cost. The following items may not be placed in the dumpster:  tires, liquids of any type,
hazardous materials, automotive batteries, and appliances.
