RASCAL FLATTS ADMIT TO LIP-SYNC PERFORMANCE

NASHVILLE (AP) — Rascal Flatts thought it would be better to fake it than not show up. After viewers of Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards accused the band of lip-syncing their performance of “Rewind,” the band has come clean and admitted they did. Rascal Flatts say on their Facebook page singer Gary LeVox lost his voice after doing several shows earlier in the week. They say they made a last-minute decision to lip-sync at the ACMs instead of canceling. In their words, “We’ve never done it before, and we’re obviously not very good at it.”

LONESTAR GUITARIST MICHAEL BRITT GETS MARRIED

UNDATED (AP) — Guitarist Michael Britt of Lonestar is a married man. The band posted a photo of Britt and his bride, Latashja Hanson, on their Facebook page. The couple were married on Saturday.

BLAKE SHELTON’S TEAM IS CHOSEN ON “THE VOICE”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — One of four teams is in place for the live shows on “The Voice.” Blake Shelton’s three singers are Sisaundra Lewis, Audra McLaughlin (mihk-LAHK’-lihn) and Jake Worthington. That means he let go of Madilyn Paige and Ryan Whyte Maloney. Shelton says he loves Lewis for her super talent and storytelling, he was blown away by McLaughlin from the first time he heard her, and he felt he had to follow his heart and choose Worthington. Shakira, Usher and Adam Levine will narrow their teams next week.
