DARIUS RUCKER SINGS ANTHEM AT NCAA TITLE GAME

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Darius Rucker got a reminder of his past when he took the floor to sing the national anthem at last night’s NCAA men’s basketball championship game. As he was being introduced, one fan at Cowboys Stadium shouted out “Hootie!” Before turning to country music, Rucker was the frontman for Hootie and the Blowfish. He has since released three country music albums.

BLAKE SHELTON USES LAST STEAL ON “THE VOICE”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Blake Shelton used his last steal to snatch away Madilyn Paige from Team Usher on “The Voice.” Shelton told her he believed in her as an artist but now he has to turn her into a performer. Usher chose to keep Bria Kelly and Melissa Jimenez for his team. Team Blake also keeps Ryan Whyte Maloney. Dani Moz will move on with Team Shakira. Adam Levine says Kat Perkins has a commanding presence, so she’ll continue with his team. He also decided to take a risk on Jake Barker, who has little stage experience but Levine says Barker has a quality that makes him want to see more.
