CHADRON – For the second consecutive year, 58 teams and more than 550 participants in eight different divisions competed in the annual Chadron State College Hoop Shoot last weekend.
The tournament, organized by the Chadron State College men’s and women’s basketball programs, is the largest fundraiser for both squads. Games were played at the Nelson Physical Activity Center, Armstrong Gymnasium and Chadron Middle and High Schools.
“I was pleased with how well the tournament went,” women’s basketball head coach Tim Connealy said. “The Hoop Shoot continues to grow and it couldn’t be that way without the support of the college and the community. It’s a good showcase for the regional basketball players and it’s always a fun environment.”
Four champions were crowned in each the girls’ and boys’ divisions. The results of the championship games follow.
