TAYLOR SWIFT TRESPASSER ORDERED TO STAY AWAY

WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) — Step off. That’s basically what a Rhode Island judge has told a Massachusetts man who’s been hanging around Taylor Swift’s vacation home. The Westerly Sun reports Daniel Cole of Brewster, Massachusetts was summoned before a Rhode Island judge on Friday. Police say he has ignored previous warnings to keep away from Swift’s shore-side home. Police say Cole blocked the driveway to Swift’s home with his pickup truck on December 9 and had to be escorted off the property — only to return less than two weeks later, when he struggled with police who asked him to leave. Cole has pleaded not guilty to trespassing and disorderly conduct charges. He’s now under a no-contact order.

MIRANDA LAMBERT’S WEAPONS OF MASS PRODUCTION?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Miranda Lambert feels clothing should be practical — though not in the way most of us might think. She jokes that she leans toward clothes “things that can also be used as a weapon.” So she likes to have items dotted with studs or things that, as she put it, “might could also hurt someone with if you needed to.” Lambert has opened a pair of stores that feature clothes that appeal to her and, she hopes, to others. She says her fashion isn’t “some kind of supermodel-looking style” — but country style. For instance, Lambert says while she doesn’t have loads of shoes like some women do, she has to spread her boot collection among her homes “so it doesn’t look so bad.”
