ROY ORBISON’S SONS GET TO PERFORM WITH DAD

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Thanks to some fancy electronics, Roy Orbison’s three sons will get to play music with their late father. Wesley, Roy Junior and Alex Orbison have come up with a song with their dad that will be on a rerelease of Orbison’s final album, “Mystery Girl.” The album will feature the new track, which was crafted from an old vocal for a song called “The Way Is Love.” It was originally recorded on a boom-box. But with technology created specifically for the job, they were able to punch up the delivery to make it sound more professional. Alex Orbison says working on the song “really brought us closer together in a lot of ways.” The rereleased and expanded album will drop May 20.
