A Spring tradition has been re-invented!
The Town and Country Home Show has been held in Alliance every March for over a quarter-century. This year we’ve made some exciting changes and additions–an Extreme Makeover if you will.
First, our event is now billed as Spring Showcase–because that’s what it is–your chance to see what’s new and exciting for Spring in a variety of categories. Also new: the show hours. We’ll be hosting a Preview Night Friday March 21st from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Then, the Showcase floor will be open Saturday March 22nd from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Health Fair, with a variety of health information, screenings, and services, will also be on Saturday the 22nd, from 8:00am to 2:00pm in the gym at Alliance High.
Due to declining attendance on Sunday in previous years, and to allow our exhibitors a day to relax after the busy weekend, the Spring Showcase will be Friday night and Saturday only.
Another exciting change: after decades of Home Shows in the gym, our Spring Showcase will be held in the Alliance High School Commons Area–a brighter, more inviting place to meet our exhibitors and socialize with friends. One thing hasn’t changed–the Spring Showcase is free. Two Alliance High School organizations will be serving meals. The AHS Track Team will host a chili and potato bar on Friday evening from 4:30 to 7:30pm. The cost is $5.00. On Saturday, the Rachel’s Challenge group will serve breakfast burritos from 8:00am to 1:00pm. For those planning to fast before their blood draw at the Health Fair, this will be an excellent opportunity to replenish!
Finally, to make Spring Showcase weekend even more exciting, we’re holding our first-ever “Game Show Night Live” event Friday, March 21st, at 8:00pm in the Performing Arts Center at Alliance High School. Tickets are $5.00, available at our KCOW Studios, 1210 West 10th St. in Alliance, or at this link:
Everyone who buys a ticket will enjoy a fun evening of game show challenges, played with randomly selected members of our audience. The event is open for all ages; however, contestants must be 18 or over to play and win. Prizes up for grabs range from an Amazon Kindle to a loveseat with recliners to a hot tub!
We’re hoping to see you at our re-invented Spring Showcase on Friday night, March 21st, & Saturday, March 22nd–and at Game Show Night Live Friday, the 21st, at 8:00pm in the PAC!
