“Casey and I were married on June 23, 2001 and this photo was taken on June 23, 2013. We celebrated our 12th anniversary by having family photo session.”

Meghan & Matt

Meghan & Matt

“My husband Matt and I met my first day at Wayne State College at our cross country team meeting in 2007. He set his eyes on me and knew he wanted to pursue a relationship. We have survived a long distance relationship for a year while dating then got engaged and married shortly after in 2010.” “We have been married for three and a half years and have moved to 4 different towns together including Scottsbluff in May 2013. We enjoy running as well as exploring the outdoors by hiking, skiing, fishing and hunting. We have been so extremely blessed by the people of Scottsbluff and by the support of our families and are excited for our future together!”

Merissa & Jason

“Jason and I have been together since February of 2006, the exact day is up for debate. He’s the love of my life and I almost blew it!” “The first time he asked me out I stood him up ( is what he’ll say but it was a blizzard that night!). But he found me at work and asked me out again. And I was 30 minutes late. I was walking in just as he was walking out! But we’ve been together ever since. Even through the man drives me nuts, he’s my rock and the love of my life.”

Dustin & Phaedra

Dustin & Phaedra

“Dustin and I have known each other since 4th grade when he moved to Crawford. We “dated” in elementary school, which consisted of walking home together and in high school, just friends. In 1999, a year after graduating high school, we ran into each other and have been together ever since.” “On September 1, 2001, we were married and exactly 4 years later, had our first bright blued eyed little lady. Three years after her, we had our second little blued eyed beauty. Our lives were complete and simple for the next 5 years. He continued to work on the BNSF railroad out of Alliance or Edgemont, SD, and I stayed home with our girls until I went back to work at Crawford Public schools in 2010 and then to Security First Bank in 2012.” “The end of September 2013 our lives took a sudden turn. Dustin was in an accident at our local bowling alley involving an industrial strength router that shattered his orbital socket, damaged his eye and nearly (a few centimeters) took his life. But thanks to my sister making him wear his safety glasses, he is still here to help raise his children and spoil me. He has had two facial reconstructive surgeries down in Denver at the University of Colorado Hospital since September and has another one planned (we hope the last) in April 2014. He has not been allowed back to work since the accident due to him not having 20/40 in his bad eye. Recently however, our local Opthamologist was able to get his damaged eye to 20/25 with corrective eye glasses.” “We are hopeful, that in a few weeks, he will be able to hang up his “pirate” patch, even though he is rather handsome with it, and be able to see with both eyes. Through all of the adversity, we have become even closer and look forward to a bright future in the years to come.”

Mark and Melissa

Mark and Melissa

“We are high school sweet hearts and will celebrate our 18th year anniversary this August. We have three beautiful children. Our son is 14 and two daughters 11 and 7. Mark is a farmer and active in the community. Melissa is a stay at home mom/photographer and helps with the books for the family business. It is evident in this photo that our love has only deepened over the years. Our quote the day we were married was “This day I will marry my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, and love.” And it’s more true every day we are together.”

Stephanie Welch & her husband

Stephanie & her husband

“My husband and I were married September 28th,2013. We have gone through a lot in our short marriage and we are stronger than ever. I was diagnosed with endometriosis a few months before our wedding and had surgery. I struggle with it often but I always have my husband to lean on. He is my rock!” I am so lucky to have found such an amazing man. He supports me and helps me in very way he can from dressing me, massaging my pain away to shaving my legs. These are all the things he’s done and more in the past year for me. I love him with all my heart. My marriage and my husband have been my biggest blessing in my life. I thank god everyday for bringing him into my life.”

Amanda & her husband

“Have been married to the love of my life and my best friend for almost 13 years, we got married in our teens. Raised 3 children on a very tight income and I love him more today than the first day I met him. We have been through many hardships with losing my brother in an oil rig accident to me almost dying from an infection after a hysterectomy through it all he has been my rock and support. We have learned to communicate and listen to each other and make the best of what we have been handed to us. Thank you for looking.”

Sterling & Allie

Sterling & Allie

“Sterling and I met through friends while I was in college. It was really coincidental, if it wasn’t for that night we never would have met each other! Now we are engaged!”

Marty & Abby

Marty & Abby

“Marty and I have known each other our entire lives. We took music lessons from the same teacher, his parents grew up with my mom, his sister was in my dance class. Needless to say, we never thought or talked about dating.” “After high school graduation, we went to college in opposite directions from home and after college graduation moved back to our hometown around the same time, though it was over a year before we ran back into each other. During one month, we ended up hanging out and going places with a group of people a half dozen times and while spending that much time around together, we realized how much we liked the each other.” “The rest is history because once we got caught up with each other, we just clicked.”

Tonya & her husband

Tonya & her husband

“We have been married for 8 years and have two beautiful boys. We met right out of high school at a summer job. He left for basic training just 2 months later but we kept in touch, writing letters daily. We fell in love through letters and we were married the following summer.”
“We lived in Germany for 3 years while he served in the military. He was deployed to Iraq for 18 months. We were apart more than together the first 4 years of our marriage because of the military. The most amazing feeling in the world was being reunited after 18 months of worrying constantly about his safety. I’ve never ever felt like that before or again. This picture is after he came home from Iraq we attended a formal military ball. We have a fairy tale story and every year it just keeps getting better!”

Kellie & Trevor

Kellie & Trevor

“Trevor and I been faithfully together since August 19, 2007. We went to different high schools in Omaha, Ne but we still consider ourselves to be high school sweet hearts. Like all relationships we have had our ups and downs but together we have overcome every barrier that has come our way. We will be graduating this December of 2014 and hopefully we are able to move somewhere new to begin our lives together.”

“We met in 2004 at the laundromat of all places. We dated for more than 7 years by the time we got married and have been happily married for a little more than 2 years now. We have one son and another baby on the way.” “The picture was taken on our wedding day by our photographer when we thought she was taking a break. I (the bride) was on the phone with my matron-of-honor when my husband, who by this point was tired of taking pictures, plopped his head on my shoulder and let a big sigh. Our photographer snapped a picture of this moment. It is one of our favorites!”

Jesse & Erin

“My husband and I were both born and raised in the panhandle. We are high school sweethearts and have been together for almost 12 years and married just short of 5. We’ve been through some really tough times and managed to come out stronger than ever. We have two beautiful children that we love to the moon and back!”

We grow stronger every day, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!”

So I took a permanent position in town.” “We have been married since November 30th, 2013 so we are in the Newlywed Stage and loving every minute! :) We bought a house and planned our wedding all last year so we were not able to go on a honeymoon; so a weekend getaway to Deadwood would be Great and much needed!!!! :) Thank you!!! :)

Baylie & her husband

Baylie & her husband

“We met after both getting out of bad relationships. I wasn’t really looking for a new one, but he was persistent. We ended up hanging out, with friends at first, and then we began spending time together just us. The relationship blossomed, and quickly. We ended up getting married in April 2011. We are now coming up on our 3rd anniversary, and hoping for many more to come!”

Valentines Day Greeting Cards from Treat

Shelli & Sam

Shelli & Sam

“Sam and I met when he was 57 and I was 52. I was married for 30 years to the father of our three children. Sam had been married twice before and helped raise two children. I had an older car that had been acting up. Another friend told me he knew a mechanic named Sam. He offered to have Sam look at my car. When the work was complete, the two of them came into the office where I was working. Sam had on a little cap. He took off his cap, kind of bowed, and presented me with the bill for his work. His smile was beautiful and his eyes twinkled. He had me hooked right then. I decided to invite him to dinner to “pay” him for the work he’d done on my car.” “Our first “date” was to a steak place in Mitchell, Nebraska. He was a perfect gentleman. We continued to date and fall madly, deeply in love. This was a different kind of love than I had experienced when I was younger. It was MUCH deeper and MUCH better. A year and a half after we first met, we moved in together, and a year after that, when he was 60 and I was 55, we took a vacation to the Grand Canyon. On the way there, he “suggested” that it wouldn’t be all that far to continue on to Las Vegas and get married. So…that’s what we did! We have been together ever since. Sam turns 65 in April and I turn 60 in March. Who says you can’t have romance and love when you’re older? :)

“My fiancée Ebin and I have been together since August 30, 2011. We are getting married on our 3rd year anniversary (August 30, 2014). We both have a great sense of humor and just love joking and playing around. For our engagement photos, he wanted to do something original and we decided on this! “We got married in 1986 when he was 18 and I was 21, everyone in his family and mine gave us 1 year to be married but, here we are 27 years, 4 wonderful children and 3 grand babies later,(Ben Shafer 29, Kyle Anderson 26, Sarah Anderson 18 and our grand daughter Sammi Anderson 1, all who live in Washington and Victoria Anderson 23 with our grand daughters Alexa 2 and Elanor Anderson 9 months who live with us in Nebraska)we are happier and more in love than ever!” “We are best friends and do everything together, hunt, fish, ride our Harley, hike, just everything. We are originally from Washington state and are huge Seahawks fans. We love everything about Nebraska and the surrounding states! We are living the dream here in Chadron Nebraska on a farm that has been in Katherine’s family since 1917, and Katherine’s family has been here since 1894. We have no plans on moving anywhere.”

Mike & Lindsey

Mike & Lindsey

“As fate would have it, Lindsey knew she was going to marry Mike. To this day her friends will vouch for that! Thanks to a mutual friend, telephone numbers were exchanged and conversations continued. Both Mike and Lindsey wanted to meet up, but with both of them being full time students, time was hard to come by with both on opposite ends of the state. Mike was studying rangeland management and ecology at Chadron State and Lindsey studying biology and chemistry at College of Saint Mary in Omaha. April 2010 rolled around and Lindsey decided she was going to get away from the “big city” before finals rolled around. With no intentions of going all the way out to Chadron, she just packed her bags and headed west. She met up with some friends in Kearney one evening and as fate would have it, the group decided they would head to Chadron for a local even that was taking place. Lindsey texted Mike that night saying “I’m headed to Chadron in the morning, would you like to meet up?” Mike jumped at the chance and said “Come on down!” “Upon arrival, Lindsey dropped her friends off at their destination in Chadron. With a phone about out of juice (no charger in the car mind you) and a heart about ready to beat out of her chest, Lindsey waited for Mike in the Mr. Movies parking lot. They spent the summer together in Chadron that year as both had summer jobs at local state parks. Mike shared his love for fishing with Lindsey on their days off and memories were made together! At the end of the summer, they parted ways as Lindsey moved back to Omaha to finish school, but they both realized that this was going to be something special between them. Upon graduating from school in Omaha in 2011, Lindsey moved out to Chadron to pursue her Master’s at Chadron State. She warned Mike that if he was to interfere with her schooling, they were going to have a problem. Marriage was brought up from time to time, but Lindsey often reminded Mike that she didn’t want the excitement and planning of a wedding to distract her from her schooling, as that was her number one priority. The opportunity for a proposal presented itself many times, but Mike always kept that in the back of his mind. Literally, the day Lindsey graduated from CSC with her Master’s(Spring of 2013), there was an interesting turn of events. Lindsey, upon receiving her Master’s degree, received a surprise when she walked out of Memorial Hall into the bright sunshine about 9 a.m. Her fiance’, Mike Boardman asked her to marry him and gave her an engagement ring. He then graduated undergraduate ceremony. With family all around, the celebrated this special day for the next several hours!” “Mike is currently working for the NRCS (Natural Resource Conservation Service) in Wyoming and Lindsey is an adjunct instructor at Chadron State and Range Technician at the U.S. Forest Service in Chadron.”
