The reading program is designed to encourage adults to read and explore the library, but Saturday gives participants a chance to get out of the library at 2:00 with Winter Chasing, a on hour-long guided walk through the parks and alleys of Chadron that will highlight the beauty of the season in our city.
The following Saturday, Feb 8, participants will make Valentine’s Day Cards at 2:30…giving them a chance to create a special card for that special someone.
On Valentine’s Day, Friday the 14th, the Friends of the Library are hosting Chocolate Tasting Party & Blind Date with a Book at 2:30.
Adults are invited to bring a sweet heart or a dear friend and learn about different types of chocolate, taste delicious morsels and experience the rich taste of fruit bites dipped in a chocolate fountain.
At 2:30 pm on February 22, the activity will be the New Collage, which will showcase decorating suggestions and fresh ways to make collages to decorate the home and explore thoughts and ideas.
March 1 offers a 2:30 p.m. program on Journals, Art Journals and Diaries. Journaling is an exciting and powerful way to keep in touch with feelings, record emotions, remember people and life events.
People can come and choose the type of journaling that is right for them, and staff will show participants how to start and how to keep going.
The Adult Winter Reading Program wraps up March 8 with 2:30 p.m. program on Quilling…an intriguing and affordable craft that turns tiny pieces of paper into many beautiful things.
