LOS ANGELES (AP) — “Lone Survivor” stands alone — at the box office this weekend. Lone Survivor is number-one more than 38 million dollars, in its first weekend of wide release. Mark Wahlberg stars as a Navy SEAL serving in Afghanistan.

Emile Hirsch got so close to the parents of the Navy SEAL he plays in “Lone Survivor,” they call him their adopted son. Hirsch plays one of the real-life SEALS who was killed in an ambush in Afghanistan. Hirsch spent a lot of time with them before playing Danny Dietz. He says it was “a really special experience.”

“Frozen” stays hot at number-two — with a total of 317 million. “The Wolf of Wall Street” is third this weekend. “The Legend of Hercules” and “American Hustle” tie for fourth.
