WASHINGTON (AP) — The “Spider-Man” musical closes on Broadway this Sunday, but part of it will live on at the Smithsonian in Washington. One of Spider-Man’s costumes will be put on display at the National Museum of American History.

Eiko Ishioka won a Tony for her costumes. She also designed the outfits worn during the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and Francis Ford Coppola’s “Dracula.” She died in 2012. “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” closes Sunday after having played 1,268 performances and grossing more than $200 million.

Next stop: Las Vegas.
