Jordan Hooper - 13 foul shotNebraska All-American Jordan Hooper has earned her first Big Ten Conference Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week award this season, sharing the honor with Minnesota’s Amanda Zahui B.

It’s Hooper’s seventh career Big Ten Player-of-the-Week award and comes for her 30 point, 11 rebound double-double in just 20 minutes in Nebraska’s win Sunday over Oral Roberts that closed non-conference play.

The 6-2 senior from Alliance, Neb., hit 11-of-15 shots from the field, including 4-of-8 three-pointers, and all 4of her free throw attempts while adding 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot.

She scored 23 points and had eight rebounds in the first half alone, helping the Huskers produce a school-record 62 first-half points.

Hooper and the Huskers open Big Ten Conference action against Northwestern on Thursday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip-off with the Wildcats is set for 7 p.m. (MT) and the game will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network.
