Gina Jespersen _ 2014Tickets to the Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2014 Coronation for Gina Jespersen of Hemingford are gone.

The event — to be held Jan. 4 at the Hampton Inn in Scottsbluff — is a sellout.

Jespersen was named 2014 rodeo queen during the Nebraskaland Days celebration in North Platte in June.    She has been the “Lady in Waiting” since that time, preparing for her 2014 reign, which included a trip to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas to watch the Miss Rodeo America pageant.   She also cheered on 1998 Alliance High School graduate Dean Gorsuch, who finished seventh in steer wrestling.

Jespersen, the daughter of Don and Joni Jespersen, is a 2008 graduate of Hemingford High School and recently earned her degree in elementary education from Black Hills State University.

Gina began competing in horsemanship as a young 4-H member at the Box Butte County Fair. She went on to compete at the American Quarter Horse World Show in Texas in 2007.

Gina was crowned the 2006 Box Butte County Fair Queen in Hemingford; the 2009 Old West Trails Rodeo Queen in Crawford; the 2011 AK-SAR-BEN River City Rodeo Queen in Omaha; and the 2013 Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo Queen in Rapid City.
