A former Chadron Community Hospital employee will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty in Dawes County District Court to 2 counts of trying to obtain a prescription drug, the insomnia drug Ambien, with a forged prescription.
40-year old Alyssa Eide, who is currently at a rehabilitation facility in Tennessee, also faces charges in Box Butte County and District Judge Travis O’Gorman will handle both at the same time in Alliance on January 17.
Eide was arrested in July after she called in a prescription to a local pharmacy using a false name and a doctor’s Drug Enforcement Administration number.
Investigators then discovered that Eide had been been using multiple doctors to prescribe Ambien for her, and that she’d filled the prescriptions at pharmacies all across the Panhandle
