Dear St. Agnes Friends and Families:
We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed the extra days away from school. In a few short weeks the first semester will end. We have a lot happening here at St. Agnes before the Christmas break.
The girls’ basketball team is off to a great start. They have a game with Scottsbluff this afternoon in the Parish Center gym and will travel to Bayard on Thursday. There is a change in the game plan for Thursday—the game will begin at 3 PM instead of 4 PM. So please make note of that.
The boys’ basketball team has begun practicing and have their first games at the Hyannis Tournament on Saturday, December 13.
There is a St. Agnes T-shirt order form attached to this letter. These are DUE December 6—this Friday. This will insure that they will be here by Christmas.
Wreaths are still available for pick-up. If you have not picked yours up please do so ASAP. There are a few extras that were ordered. Call the school for more information.
The Winter Pep Rally will be in the PC Gym at 3 PM, this Friday, December 6. We would like everyone to wear blue and white that day. Students will be dismissed from the gym at 3:20.
The SAA 8th grade class and Mrs.Gould would like to thank all of the generous sponsors who have said yes to advertising in our school’s yearbook. If you were not contacted for an ad this year and would like to still be represented in the yearbook, it is not too late. Families can still sponsor their child’s class page too. Call Mrs. Gould or Mrs. McGhehey for more information.
We are looking for a volunteer to help us with our aluminum can recycling. The cans need to be removed from the container in our parking lot and taken to the recycling center. If interested, please contact the school, or Mrs. Parker. Special thanks to Toni Lewis for taking on this project for the past couple of years. Your help is much appreciated.
Please continue to recycle your steel and tin cans. This contest will continue until January 31. They only need to be rinsed—labels can be attached for this contest.
Have a great week!
Theresa Parker, Principal
