Anderson Jennie Lenora0001Jennie Lenora Anderson, 85, was called home to be with her living Lord Jesus, Wednesday afternoon, November 6, 2013 at the West Nebraska Veterans’ Home, Scottsbluff, NE.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 10:30 am, at Calvary Memorial Church, 265 18th Street in Gering, NE with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating.  Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.   A fellowship luncheon will be served following the graveside service at Calvary Memorial Church.

A memorial has been established to Calvary Memorial Church Mission Fund.  Please make checks payable to Calvary Memorial Church. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.dugankramer.com  Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff is in charge of the arrangements.

Jennie Lenora Anderson, daughter of Clarence and Sadie Dodson, born April 21, 1928 in Bingham, IL. She grew up on a farm near Ramsey, IL and graduated from Ramsey High School at the age of 16. She graduated from business school two years later and worked as a secretary in business and public schools. She married Richard Alton Anderson on November 25th, 1950 in Decatur, IL.

Lenora and Richard served pastorates at the Kiowa Community Church, Lyman, NE, at Tampico Baptist Church, Tampico, IL and at Dix Bible Church, Dix, NE. She was a volunteer through the Foster Grandparents program at Northfield Elementary School from 2005-2012. Lenora active in her church, devoted to her family and friends, active at the veterans home where she lived with Richard in Assisted Living for the past two years. Lenora enjoyed gardening and reading. She loved board games, Husker tailgate parties, painting, and antiques. She was dear to her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Lenora is survived by her husband Richard and her five children; Jim Anderson (Cindy), Charlottesville, VA, Bob Anderson (Janelle), Gering, NE, Barb Anderson, Scottsbluff, NE, Diane Anderson Seyller, Corvallis, MT, Joy Anderson Lemons (Jeff), Lakewood, CO, and eight grandchildren, Matt, Todd, Alexa, Jon, Charis, Colin, David and Stephen, and 5 great grandchildren.
