Smith will start his day in Chadron focused strictly on business as he meets with local officials at 10:00 at the First National Bank of Chadron to discuss this month’s blizzard and its impact…including the deaths of at least 2,200 head of cattle in the region.
The fun portion of Smith’s day is in Harrison, where he’ll take part in the Community Halloween Celebration at 2:30 at the Security First Bank.
Then it’s back to business, but still at Security First Bank, as he meets with local ranchers and officials at 3:30…again to talk about the blizzard and recovery efforts.
Smith, whose home is Gering, also has a pair of public appearances in the Twin Cities area on Friday. At 7:45 AM, he’ll be in Mitchell at the Elementary School, before the school’s Red Ribbon Parade, to speak to students about the importance of education and community involvement .
Then at 1:00 in Scottsbluff, Smith will meet with Jack and Jolie Camden, the 2013 Angels in Adoption Honorees for Nebraska’s Third District.
