Nebraska State Senator Pete Pirsch of Omaha kicked off his campaign for the Republican nomination for State Auditor today, pledging to focus his campaign on government accountability and responsibility while emphasizing his experience as a a state lawmaker and city prosecutor in Omaha.
Term-limited, Pirsch opened his campaign in Lincoln, then headed off on a 14 city tour that includes stops Tuesday in Chadron at 11:00 at the Bean Broker, in Alliance at Newberry’s at 1:30, and in Scottsbluff at the Emporium Coffeehouse at 4:00.
There will be no incumbent in the State Auditor’s race because Republican Mike Foley, who’s held the office for 3 terms, decided to forgo a reelection bid to run for governor.
