EAGLES SWEPT ON THE ROAD

CSC VB 13 teamLAKEWOOD, Colo. – Taylor Sturms and Summer Greager combined for 28 kills and Colorado Christian hit .364 as a team to sweep Chadron State (25-15, 25-18, 25-18) in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match Friday.

Sturms and Greager each had 14 kills and double-digit digs to lead Colorado Christian’s efficient offense. Bri Ridley also had nine kills, Ali Weber added eight more and Jordan Kissman dished out 35 set assists as the Cougars moved to 7-7 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

The Eagles, now 3-10 and 0-5 in the RMAC, had a hard time getting their offense in gear. They hit .081 as a team and committed 22 attack errors.

Jessica Jester paced CSC with nine kills and Barbie DeCent had eight.

Libero Brittany Oddo chipped in a team-high 14 digs and Justine Ackie handed out 21 set assists.

Chadron State will play at Colorado School of Mines today (Saturday). First serve is set for 5 p.m.
