St Agnes Blue Sign

Dear Parents and Students:

Congratulations to our volleyball team! They won the Panhandle Conference Championship for the seventh year in a row! St. Agnes demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout all the games. Thank you to Terri Burke and Carolyn Farritor for their great coaching. They continually teach while they coach. I’m sure these girls will remember the lessons they learned from you throughout their lives. l am so proud of all of you! The VB team will play again in Hemingford, on Saturday. This will be a quadrangular.

Alliance Public Schools have changed their schedule for Spring Break. We try to keep the same schedule, because so many families have students in both schools. So, we have revised our schedule to coincide with theirs. Spring break is the first week in March, instead of the second week. We will send home a revised schedule to reflect this change.

Monday, October 7, we do not have school. The teachers will be attending an in-service in North Platte with all of the teachers from the Grand Island Diocesan Schools. Enjoy your long week-end.

The October lottery winners are Steve Nuss, Shelbee Burke, Linda Kennicutt and Janet Castle. All of the winners are from Alliance and won $75.

The eighth grade will have their field trip, Thursday, October 17. They will go to the Arch in Kearney and to Pioneer Village in Minden. Permission slips went home today and need to be returned by Friday.

The 7th grade football teams will play Thursday at Hay Springs. The B team will start at 4 pm versus Hay Springs and the A team will play Gordon-Rushville following the B game.

This reminder, the annual Parents Inc. Chili Feed will be on October 25 prior to the Alliance-Gering football game.
