Union Pacific spokesperson Mark Davis says an eastbound coal train with 136 cars struck a pickup hauling a trailer at a private crossing with stop signs.
KNEB News in Scottsbluff reports that Midwest MedAir out of North Platte responded and transported an injured person to a regional hospital. It’s not known at this time how many occupants were in the vehicle or which hospital facility will be receiving the injured party.
Davis says the accident happened around 9:50 Friday morning.
