David Letterman celebrates his 20th anniversary Thursday night with the same guest who was on the couch the first day he started on CBS, actor  Bill Murray.

In fact, Murray was not only Letterman’s first guest on “Late Show,” but he was also the first guest when “Late Night” premiered on NBC in 1982. Bill Murray - David Letterman -2

He arrived in a white vintage Rolls-Royce and a Liberace-style outfit, complete with cape and white toy poodle.

After Murray finally took the seat next to Letterman, the host cracked  “Wow. Delightful … I didn’t know you had a dog.”

Thursday’s appearance was Murray’s 26th since Letterman started on CBS in 1993. David Letterman said that between Late Night and his original NBC late night show, he’s done 5,711.
