The Society’s annual Pie-and-Ice Cream Social will also be there from 11-2:00 with home-made pies and music by Dan Barcal and Ann Hamer.
History Day will have displays, hands-on demonstrations by local craftspeople, and conversations with local historians to hear stories about “the old days” and appreciate the development of Crawford and its rural community.
Craft demonstrations will include crocheting, tin art, spinning with a Navajo wheel, jewelry making and silver wire wrapping, tatting/lace making, water colors, and designer cross stitching. Also on display will be examples of local wood carving and stained glass.
A walking tour with commentary through the downtown business district will begin at 1:45 p.m. The tour is a chance to see learn which no longer existing buildings were where, who owned what businesses, and which businesses from Crawford’s early days are still in operation
