The Nebraska State Fair welcomed its one millionth visitor on Saturday morning at 9:55 a.m. Angela Lents from Aurora and her family, husband Clay, and children seven-year-old Austin and four-year-old Tajel, were speechless when approached with the announcement from Nebraska State Fair board chair Jana Kruger.
Kruger says the Lents family received a great prize package for being the one millionth visitor to the fair, including millionth visitor T-shirts, a $100 gift certificate to the 1868 Foundation Gift Shop, carnival ride tickets, vouchers for free fair food, and tickets and gate admission to the concert of their choice. They will also be featured in the Nebraska State Fair Parade.
Clay Lents said, “It’s wonderful to be the millionth visitors, but even better is that the Nebraska State Fair has welcomed one million visitors as the fourth year in Grand Island commences.”
Kruger said, “This is great. We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished at the Nebraska State Fair, and even more proud that we provide family-focused fun for the whole family.”
The Nebraska State Fair runs through Sunday, September 2, in Grand Island.
