The Nebraska State Fair has added additional cameras this year for streaming of livestock shows for those who cannot make it to a particular event.
“We’ve added three additional cameras this year so that all arenas will be available for viewing at home on your computer,” said Joseph McDermott, Executive Director of the Nebraska State Fair. “The Nebraska State Fair has been up staying up-to-date with technology since moving to Grand Island in 2010, and this is another way to showcase 4-H, FFA and Open Class events.”
Streaming Video will be available from the Swine Arena, the Five Points Bank Arena as well as the Sheep Barn Arena. Folks wishing to watch from home can find links to all cameras and the live closed circuit feed at StateFair.org.
McDermott said, “Streaming video was wildly popular in 2012, so this year, we’ve added additional technology so family and friends of livestock exhibitors can watch the competitions from the comfort of their own home.”
Livestock schedules and links to live streaming can be found at StateFair.org.
The Nebraska State Fair runs from August 23 through September 2 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
