IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
The FSA Administrator recently announced that the 2013 acreage reporting deadline for spring seeded crops and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acreage has been extended to August 2, 2013. Producers should ensure a report of acreage for all crops and land uses, including failed and prevented planted acreages, has been filed to prevent the loss of FSA program benefits. NAP crops (those covered under the Non-insured Assistance Program) harvested prior to August 2 must have their acreage reported 15 calendar days prior to the onset of harvest or grazing.
August 2, 2013 is also the final date to enroll a farm into the Direct and Counter-cyclical Program (DCP). Signatures for all participants sharing in base acres must be submitted by this date for a farm to be enrolled. Any change in interest to a previously enrolled DCP and ACRE contract must be reported, and the contract revised as necessary, before September 30, 2013.
