SCHOLARSHIPS AND WEIGHT ROOM UPGRADE TO BENEFIT FROM GARWOOD MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 6th annual Mike “Muzzy” Garwood Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 20 at Skyview Golf Course near Alliance.

 This annual event is a fundraiser for the Alliance Booster Club and the money is used to provide scholarships and weight room upgrades at AHS.

Past Garwood scholarship recipients are:

2009: Rahne Kunzman and Scott Langemeier
2010: Chris Badenhoop and Stephanie Burger
2011: Richard Jackson and Alyssa Clark
2012: Kyle Hooper and Mickenzie Nordeen 
2013: $1,500 each to Shae Brennan and Isaac Burnham.

Garwood, a 1967 graduate of Alliance High School, was an avid Bulldog fan and supporter. He was associated with KCOW Radio for 32 years before his death in December, 2007.

The tournament is limited to 36 teams.

The format is a 4-person, 18-hole scramble.

The entry free is $70 per person or $280 per team, which includes green fees, cart rental (person carts are welcome), mulligans and a meal.

Social tickets are $25 each.
