Seven Chadron State College softball players have been named to the Omaha World-Herald All-Nebraska Division II Softball Team.
Katie Londo, Rebecca Wetsch and Sarah Knudsen all earned first team distinction, while Danielle L’Argent, Aryn Grywusiewicz, Kylee Polsley and Amy Schartz are honorable mention.
Londo, a junior third baseman from Colorado Springs, Colo., was a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference selection following the season. She led the Eagles with a .353 batting average and had a team-high 42 hits. She also had 38 infield assists and drove in 17 runs.
Wetsch, a sophomore center fielder from Erie, Colo., batted .323 and led the team in slugging with .563. She also drove in 22 runs.
Knudsen, a junior from Parker, Colo., was the Eagles’ top designated player and batted .305 with 17 RBIs and 10 extra-base hits.
Chadron State College finished the 2013 season with a 14-24 record and finished ninth in the conference with a 12-19 record.
