ALLIANCE LIONS DEFENDS TITLE IN BOAT RACES

A large crowd was on hand the morning of July 4 to cheer on several people who entered cardboard boats in the annual Alliance Lions Club Laing Lake Lunatic Boat Races.   Defending their title in the community service division was the Alliance Lions.  Pictured (l-r) is Colter Tolstedt, Gus Wilkinson, Dr. Calvin Tolstedt, and Kevin Wilkinson.  The Lions donated their $300 prizes to the Box Butte County Military Support Group.

The Lions donated their $300 prizes to the Box Butte County Military Support Group.  Box Butte General Hospital finished second, while the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department placed third.
