The Hemingford Ledger newspaper reports that the 2013 Box Butte County Fair in Hemingford will be the fourth and last for manager Rachelle Poyzer.

In May of 2010, Poyzer began duties as the Box Butte County Fair Manager, but Poyzer’s husband recently accepted a job promotion and the two will be moving to Galesburg, Illinois where they will be closer to family.

Poyzer moved to Hemingford from the Chicago area in 2007 after her husband received a job promotion with BNSF and was transferred to Alliance.

In May of 2010 Poyzer began duties as the Box Butte County Fair Manager, but Poyzer’s husband recently accepted a job promotion and the two will be moving to Galesburg, Illinois where they will be closer to family.

Poyzer said she loved learning about 4-H, as well as being part of the “Raise The Roof” campaign for the new 4-H barn.

“Moving closer to home is bittersweet because I love this County and hate to leave.  If only I could move Box Butte County east,” she told the Ledger.

Poyzer will see the 2013 Fair through the close of the books for this Fair season.

With Poyzer beginning a new chapter in her life, that leaves the door open for another person to fill the Fair Manager position. Poyzer said anyone interested in applying for the Fair Manager position should have an accounting background, computer knowledge of quickbooks, excel, and print shop and be able to work with the public.

Resumes are accepted until June 21 and interviews may take place next week.

Poyzer said the position is full time during the summer months and part time through the winter months.
