Panhandle NO TILL imageThe Panhandle No Till Partnership is hosting a series of field days for farmers in the KCOW/Double Q Country listening region.

They will be held on Monday, June 24 at 9 a.m., at the Curt Roth farm near Clinton at 6072 270th Lane, and on Tuesday, June 25 at the 9 a.m., at the Watson Brothers farm at 1561 C.R. 61, which is a few miles north of Alliance.

Topics of discussion will cover all aspects of continuous no till crop production in our region.  Each field day will provide producers with the opportunity to visit with other producers about the benefits of continuous no till crop production.  The field days are a great opportunity to bring your questions and comments and share your ideas with other producers interested in learning more about continuous no till crop production.

Production and marketing of field peas will be discussed at each field day.  Field peas are becoming an established crop in continuous no till crop production in our region.  Field peas have proven to be the ideal grain crop for transitioning to winter wheat.  There are excellent marketing opportunities in our region for field peas which will increase the acres planted to field peas significantly.
