UNDATED (AP) — One is lending his voice — the other is giving money. But two Oklahoma natives are taking big steps toward helping Moore, Oklahoma recover from this week’s massive tornado. Blake Shelton will do a benefit called “Healing in the Heartland” next week in Oklahoma City. The show will air on NBC — where Shelton is a judge and mentor on “The Voice.”
Meanwhile, fellow Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood is donating $1 million from her recent “Blown Away” tour to help the relief effort. That money will go to the Red Cross.
And Moore, Oklahoma native Toby Keith is planning his own benefit — with the date, place and lineup yet to be announced.
