FUTURAMA

LOS ANGELES (AP) – The future is finite for “Futurama.” Comedy Central isn’t renewing the show, so that means it’ll end on September 4 after airing 140 episodes. The final 13 episodes of season seven start airing June 19. Matt Groening tells Entertainment Weekly that they’d love to keep the show going if they can get another network interested. It wouldn’t be the first time they were saved by another network. When Fox canceled it in 2003, reruns continued on Adult Swim. Then Comedy Central revived it in 2007.
