The TeamMates One Hour walk is an annual fundraising event to raise awareness and support for mentoring. The TeamMates program was founded in 1991 by Dr. Tom and Nancy Osborn, with the mission of TeamMates is “to positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential.” The One Hour Walk in Alliance will be held on Sunday, April 21, with registration beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the APS Performing Arts Center. The walk ceremonies will begin at 2:00. This year’s Honorary Walk Chairperson is Megan Dimmitt, current Miss Northwest. Registration cost for adults is $15.00, which includes a t-shirt. All kids through 12th grade walk free and may purchase a t-shirt for $5.00. There will also be many great door prizes. In case of inclement weather, we will walk inside the High School building. Registration forms are available online at apschools.schools.org, or you may register the day of the walk.

Pictured below are some of the 43 members of the Alliance TeamMates program who recently attend the Huskers Spring Game in Lincoln. Members attended a TeamMates graduation ceremony with DeMoine Adam, Eric Crouch and Nancy Osborne, toured the UNL campus, attended the game and witnessed the famous run by Jack Hoffman. Mentees were also invited onto the field at halftime to take a drug-free pledge led by Lindsey Moore and met with Alliance Husker Broderick Nickens after the game to visit and get autographs.
