Road Closed - snow -1

The Nebraska Department of Roads reopened westbound Interstate 80 and Highway 30 from Big Springs to the Wyoming-Nebraska state line a little before 11:00 Thursday day.

That section of both roads had been closed from Wednesday afternoon till about 6:00 Thursday morning at the request of Wyoming officials because hazardous winter conditions that had led to closures in Wyoming.

They were closed again later Thursday morning from Sidney on west, but the closure was extended farther east to Big Springs around 2 pm.

The Nebraska Department of Roads warns drivers to use caution and reduce speeds because of scattered slick spots and places with blowing snow.

Please stay home and let the roads get cleared.

There is one thing to report the news but another to report the news right. If conditions in the WEST are improving, and they are getting worse to the EAST. Why would there be an advisory for vehicles going WEST. Would it not be more important for cars going EAST. Man it really is not that hard to figure out with a little proof reading

Bill, I believe Wyoming is west of Nebraska.
